Pawtucket – Dorothy K. (King) Mellen, 93, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 20, 2021.
She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas Mellen.
Born in Central Falls, she was the only child of the late Edward P. and Catherine M. (Henvey) King.
Dorothy was a faithful communicant of St.
Teresa Church, Pawtucket, for many years and enjoyed volunteering for the parish.
She worked as a secretary for Barrett & Co., Providence, and retired well into her early eighties.
Dorothy enjoyed vacationing in Cape Cod and spending time with her family.
She is survived by three children, Thomas E.
Mellen and his wife, Celeste, of Lincoln, Marilyn Jeffrey and her husband, Robert, of Naples, FL and Robert Mellen and his wife, Karen, of Dennisport, MA; nine grandchildren, T.J., Jason, Joe, Troy, Steve, David and Lauren Mellen and Allison and Kaitlyn Jeffrey; eighteen great-grandchildren and several cousins.
She was the grandmother of the late Christopher Jeffrey.
Relatives and friends are welcome to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in St.
Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
Interment with her late husband will immediately follow at Mount St.
Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Saint Antoine Activities Fund, 10 Rhodes Avenue, North Smithfield, RI 02896 would be appreciated.
