Dorothy R. Maynard

Pawtucket – Dorothy R. (Hoey) Maynard, 99, passed away on peacefully on Sunday, December 15, 2019. She was the beloved wife of the late Wilfred C. Maynard. Born in Attleboro, she was a daughter of the late Joseph P. and Mary (Gorman) Hoey. Dorothy worked as a bookkeeper at the former Troy & Pires Insurance, when the offices were located on Central Ave. in Pawtucket. She worked there for many years until her retirement. Dorothy was a member of the St. Teresa’s Senior Saints and she loved knitting. She also enjoyed bowling, Dorothy and her late husband bowled for many years on area leagues. Dorothy leaves a daughter, Jane Millette of Attleboro; a son, Michael Maynard of Pawtucket; three grandchildren, Elizabeth, Gregory and Rebecca Millette and two great-grandsons. She was the sister of the late Claire Abreu and Beth Canton. VISITATION will be held on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
