Dorothy I. Brown

Pawtucket – Dorothy I. (Hesseman) Brown, 91, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2012. She was the beloved wife of the late John C. Brown. Born in Madison, Ohio, a daughter of the late Joseph and Valeria (Pierson) Hesseman, she resided in Pawtucket over fifty years. Dorothy was a member of the Women’s Circle and the Acacia Club at the First Baptist Church, Pawtucket, and enjoyed music and crafts. Dorothy especially enjoyed knitting, she would often make and donate baby sets, as well as hats and mittens for children. She leaves two daughters, Dorothy B. Frechette and her husband, James and Susan I. Brown; a son, Robert M. Brown and his wife, Denise and a granddaughter, Nicole B. Frechette. She was the mother of the late John C. Brown, Jr. Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. Interment will follow at Swan Point Cemetery, Providence.
