Dorothy A. Hadfield

Pawtucket – Dorothy A. (Griffin) Hadfield, 99, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 7, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Howard V. Hadfield for nearly sixty years. Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Bartholomew and Loretta (Cullen) Griffin. Dorothy graduated from Pawtucket West High School and continued her education at Bryant University where she earned an associate degree. Dorothy was a faithful parishioner of St. Teresa Church, Pawtucket, for many years and a lifelong resident of the city. She dedicated her life to raising her five children and tending to the family home. Dorothy was an animal lover, particularly cats, who would often find their way up her driveway for a bowl of milk and a scratch on the head. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, baking, traveling overseas with her late husband, and hosting gatherings and celebrations.
