Dorothy E. Fortin

Cumberland - Dorothy E. (Walters) Fortin, 91, of Emerald Bay Manor, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 20, 2012. She was the beloved wife of the late Arcade R. Fortin. Born in Penzance, England, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Dorothy (Pellow) Walters. Dorothy came to the United States in 1928 and settled in Pawtucket, she had resided at Emerald Bay Manor for the past six years. She leaves a son, Robert E. Fortin and his wife, Barbara of Attleboro; two granddaughters, Robin J. Loffler and her husband, Michael of North Stonington, CT and Lesley A. Carr and her husband, Andrew of Hollis, NH; four great-grandchildren, Ryan, Jessica, Abigail Carr and Sydney Loffler, and a brother, James T. Walters of Cumberland. She was the mother of the late Sylvia R. Fortin. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday, December 29th at 11 a.m. in the Historic Swan Point Chapel, 585 Blackstone Blvd., Providence.
