Donna Marie Magill

Spring Hill, FL – Donna M. Magill, 67, formerly of Pawtucket, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of Edward Parker for 22 loving years. Born in Pawtucket, where she resided most of her life, she was the third of 13 children of the late William J. and Gladys M. (Fontaine) Magill.

Donna attended St. Joseph's school and then Pawtucket West High school graduating in 1977. She continued her education at Rhode Island College receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in Social work. Donna devoted her life to caring for others. She built a meaningful career as a Senior Dependency Case Manager in Florida, where she passionately advocated for vulnerable children and families, always striving to protect their best interests. Donna's compassion and dedication were evident in every aspect of her work. In addition to her career in social services, she successfully owned and operated two businesses, reflecting her determination, resilience, and entrepreneurial spirit. Donna also believed deeply in giving back to her community. For many years, she proudly served as the Recording Secretary for the Pawtucket FOPA, generously volunteering her time in service to others.

Above all else, Donna's greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was her family. In addition to her son Jason and stepson Eddie, she and her husband opened their hearts and home to six siblings, adopting and raising them from childhood into adulthood so they could remain together as a family. Her love was unconditional, and she poured herself into raising each of her children with kindness, respect, compassion, and integrity.

Anyone fortunate enough to know Donna knew that helping others was simply who she was. She consistently put the needs of those around her before her own, offering comfort, encouragement, and a listening ear without ever expecting anything in return. Even after being diagnosed with Stage IV cancer, Donna faced twelve years of treatment with remarkable grace and courage. Whenever someone asked how she was feeling, she would smile, say she was doing fine, and quickly turned the conversation back to asking how they were doing. That was Donna—always thinking of others first.

She had an infectious sense of humor, an incredible zest for life, and a gift for making everyone around her feel welcomed and valued. Her warmth could brighten any room, and her laughter left lasting memories. If you knew her children, you knew Donna, because she instilled in each of them the same kindness, respect, and generosity that she lived by every day.

Donna will be remembered not only for what she accomplished, but for the countless lives she touched through her love, compassion, and selflessness. She made the world a kinder and better place, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know and love her.

Besides her loving husband, Donna is survived by her son, Jason Magill and his wife, Olivia; her son, Hunter Parker and his wife, Angelise, and their son, Leomar; her daughter, Allison Parker and her children, Lance and Chace; her son, Jonathan (Cody) Parker, his wife, Meghan, and their daughter, Scarlett; her son, Austin Parker; her daughter, Bryanna Parker, her partner, Conner, and their daughter, Arya; and her daughter, Maegan Parker and her stepson, Edward Parker Jr. and his wife, Erin, and their children, Owen and Gabriel.

She is also survived by her sister, Deborah Beaucage and her husband, Thomas; her brother, William Magill Jr. and his wife, Maarit; her brother, John Magill and his wife, Patricia; her sister, Diane Anderson and her husband, Danny; her sister, Doris Bowers; her brother, David Magill; her brother, James Magill and his wife, Sharon; her brother, Daniel Magill; her brother, Joseph Magill; her sister, Doreen Castro and her husband, Joe; and her sister, Darleen Magill. She was predeceased by her brother, Donald Magill. Donna was the proud grandmother of seven cherished grandchildren and the beloved "Auntie Donna" to 25 nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in her heart.

Relatives and friends are welcome to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, August 6th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Church of St. John Paul II Parish, 195 Walcott St., Pawtucket. There will be a private burial at Mount Saint Mary Cemetery. Calling hours and flowers are respectfully omitted. Memorial gifts to Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption would be appreciated.
