Pawtucket – Donald David McNaughton, Sr., 82, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 13, 2021.
He was the beloved husband of the late Adrienne F. (Genereux) McNaughton.
Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, he was the son of the late William and Mary (Wild) McNaughton.
Navy veteran of the Vietnam era, Donald proudly served his country aboard the USS Beatty.
He was a member of Newman Congregational Church in Rumford for over forty years.
David worked as a machinist for Taco, Inc. in Cranston for over fifteen years prior to retiring in 2001.
In his earlier days, he was a volunteer fireman for the town of Lincoln.
David enjoyed camping and was an animal lover, especially his beloved Shih Tzu.
He is survived by his four loving children, Kerri Fountaine and her husband, Michael, of Pawtucket, Donald “David” McNaughton, Jr. and his wife, Christine, of Rehoboth, Shannon Pires and her husband, Tony, of East Providence and Stacy McNaughton Connors and her husband, John, of Pawtucket; eleven grandchildren, Lisdemy, Sophie, Noah, Dante, Caitlyn, Jaret, David III, Bella-Rose, Jeffrey, Patrick and Gabriel; a great-granddaughter, Eylin; a brother, William McNaughton and his wife, Jane, of Narragansett.
He was the brother of the late Daniel and Jean McNaughton.
VISITATION will be held on Sunday beginning at 2:00 p.m. followed by Services at 5:00 p.m. in WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
Interment with Military Honors at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Providence VA Medical Center, 830 Chalkstone Ave, Providence, RI 02908 would be appreciated.
