Cumberland – Donald E.

Alves, 65, passed away unexpectedly as the result of a motor vehicle accident on Tuesday, May 3, 2022.

Born in Central Falls, he was a son of the late Norman N. and Rosamond (Broadmeadow) Alves.

Don was a United States Army veteran and went on to work as a custodian for the Lincoln School Department for many years until his recent retirement.

He was a longtime and devout communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church in Cumberland.

Don was a humble and quiet man who will be lovingly remembered by his family and friends.

He leaves his brother, Michael Alves and his wife, Cheryl of Greenville; two nephews, Christopher Alves and his wife, Laidy, of Lincoln, and K-lone Alves of Providence; a niece, Amanda McCaffrey and her husband, Darryl, of Lincoln, and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

Relatives and friends are welcome to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 1 Fatima Drive, Cumberland.

Interment will follow at Mount Saint Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket.

Calling hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.
