North Providence – Doha M. (Geha) Chammas, 63, passed away peacefully at her home with family by her side on Saturday, May 6, 2023.
She was the beloved wife of Meelad Y.
Chammas for thirty-eight years.
Born in Kfarhazir, Lebanon, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Leila (Fadel) Geha.
Doha earned a bachelor’s degree and went on to a career as an English teacher and in more years, she enjoyed caring for her family and her home.
She will be remembered by family and friends alike for the delicious meals and desserts she would prepare, as she was a talented cook.
Doha enjoyed preparing all types of cuisines including Lebanese and various types of dishes, from hors d’oeuvres and main courses to beautifully crafted desserts.
She will be lovingly remembered by all whose lives she has touched over the past sixty-three years.
Along with her loving husband, Doha leaves three children, Nicholas M.
Chammas, and Leila M.
Chammas both of North Providence, and Lindsey M.
Chammas and her fiancé, Tyler Hecker of Salem, New Hampshire; three siblings, John Geha and his wife, Leah, of Thessaloniki, Greece, Amid Geha and his wife, Suzan, of Kfarakka, Lebanon, and Roula Boukarim of Darchmezzine, Lebanon, and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister-in-law of the late Karim Boukarim.
Relatives and friends are welcome to attend a Funeral Liturgy on Friday, May 12th at 11 a.m. in St.
Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church, 249 High St., Pawtucket, followed by interment at Swan Point Cemetery in Providence.
VISITATION will be held on Thursday, May 11th, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
