Dionysios "Dennis" Andrikopoulos

February 15, 1932 — November 15, 2019

Pawtucket – Dionysios “Dennis” Andrikopoulos, 87, passed away peacefully in his home on Friday morning, November 15, 2019.

He was the beloved husband of Vasiliki (Alphorito) Andrikopoulos for 59 years.

Born in Kalavrita, Greece, he was one of four children, Helen Kotrotsou, Mary Kallas and brother, Vasili of the late Andreas and Georgia Andrikopoulos.

Dennis was orphaned at the age of 13 during World War II.

He proudly served in the Greek Army prior to immigrating to the United States at the age of 34.

He built a comfortable life for his wife and family through his strong faith, a disciplined work ethic and determination to provide a better life for the next generation.

He truly sought and achieved the “American Dream.” He was an active parishioner, supporter and cantor of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church in Pawtucket.

Besides his beloved wife, Dennis leaves two sons, Andreas Andrikopoulos and his wife, Paula, of Attleboro and Anastasios “Tom” Andrikopoulos and his wife, Elizabeth, of Seekonk and four grandchildren, Dimitri, Nicholas, Thomas and Emily Andrikopoulos.

His funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W.

TRIPP funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 10 a.m. in Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, 97 Walcott St., Pawtucket.

Interment will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery.

VISITATION will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be offered to the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church.
