Cumberland – David M.
Sklarski, 66, formerly of Narragansett, Portsmouth, and Pawtucket, passed away on Monday, December 16, 2024.
He was the fiancée of Joanne Santos of Cumberland and the former husband of Lori A.
Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Theodore J. and Barbara (Levesque) Sklarski.
David was a 1976 Saint Raphael Academy graduate and earned his bachelor’s degree in business at the University of Rhode Island in 1980.
He went on to a long and flourishing career in various dental manufacturing businesses.
He was an avid golfer and received the Burke Scholarship for his service as a caddy for many years at the Pawtucket Country Club.
David was also a dedicated lifelong fan of the University of Rhode Island Basketball team.
He will be lovingly remembered by all his family and friends for his gregarious and charismatic disposition as well as his many cherished “Davidisms” and funny stories.
He could find humor in any situation; both his laugh and sense of humor were contagious to all who knew and loved him.
Besides his beloved fiancée and his former spouse, David leaves two children, Michael D.
Sklarski, and Bethany R.
Moniz and her husband, Austin, of Little Compton; a stepson, Andrew D.
Santos and his wife, Alisa, of Pascoag; three grandchildren, June, Annie and Amelia and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Kevin J.
Sklarski and Kathleen A.
Maher and the brother-in-law of the late Francis Maher.
Services for David will be private.
Calling hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to the St.
Raphael Academy Scholarship Fund, 123 Walcott Street, Pawtucket, RI 02860.
A celebration of life will be held on December 29, 2024, at Ragged Island Brewing Company in Portsmouth at 12pm.

Tripp Funeral Home, Pawtucket, RI.
