David L. Mclaughlin

Pawtucket – David L. McLaughlin, 61, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 5, 2024, while under the compassionate care of the staff at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence. He was the beloved husband of Lisa M. (Viegas) McLaughlin for thirty-eight wonderful years. A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Mederic D., Sr. and Irene (Mello) McLaughlin.  David earned his master’s degree in education and went on to touch the lives of countless students over the years. He began his teaching career at St. Raphael Academy in Pawtucket and more recently at Lincoln Middle School, where he passionately taught biology and science. He was an effective educator and colleague who had a very positive influence over his many students and fellow teachers. David’s family wishes to thank his many friends at the Lincoln School Department for the beautiful cards and notes received, offering words of support and encouragement through his illness.
