David "Sonny" L. Lapham

Seekonk – David “Sonny” L.

Lapham, 82, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, December 14, 2014.

Born in Central Falls, he was a son of the late Wilbur D. and Blanche M. (Arpin) Lapham.

Sonny was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War, where he went MIA and received the Purple Heart for injuries sustained during battle.

Sonny worked for Imperial Tile, Lincoln, from 1952 until 1968, when he then went to work for General Electric as a machine technician, until retiring in 1994.

He was an avid golfer and enjoyed horticulture and gardening.

Sonny was a very talented bathroom and kitchen remodeler and in more recent years enjoyed renovating many bathrooms and kitchens.

He leaves a son, Stephen Lapham of Central Falls; a daughter, Michelle Santos of Seekonk; a granddaughter, Ashley Millar of Rehoboth; a great-grandson, Logan Ashton Wahl and many nieces and nephews.

He was the father of the late David R.

Lapham and brother of the late Matilda “Tillie” Fortunati and Donald Lapham.

VISITATION will begin Wednesday at 9 a.m. at WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. in St.

Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.

Committal Services with Military Honors will follow at Mt.

Flowers are kindly omitted.
