David Veloso, Jr.

Pawtucket - David “Buggy” Veloso, Jr., 81, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Olga (Andrade) Veloso for fifty-nine years. Born in Cumberland, a son of the late David, Sr. and Maria (Vaz Delgado) Veloso, he resided in Cumberland until moving to Pawtucket fifty-two years ago. Dave was a Korean War U.S. Navy veteran. He was employed by the Rhode Island School of Design for sixteen years until retiring as Supervisor of Custodial Services in 1999. He was previously a Security Guard at T.F. Green Airport, Warwick and a truck driver for the former Associated Transport, Providence. Dave was a member of the Teamsters Local 251. He was very proud of being a coach and player agent for the Pineview Little League and a coach for the Pawtucket Slaterettes Girls Baseball Team. He also enjoyed playing street hockey with the neighborhood kids. But most of all, he loved the time spent with his family. Dave had been ill for several years and always maintained his wonderful sense of humor....
