Cumberland – David A. Guindon, 59, passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2025. He was the life partner of Melissa Mitchell of Cumberland for over fourteen loving years and a devoted father to his two daughters, Deanna and Rachel. Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Theresa Guindon and Arthur Varone.
David was a graduate of New England Tech and was recruited prior to his graduation for what became a thirty-three-year long career with Meditech EHR Software Company as the Senior Computer Scientist. He was highly intelligent and was personally thanked by the CEO of the company for groundbreaking work in the AI technology development of Meditech.
David enjoyed electronics, card games, movies, corn hole, golf trips to Florida, and vacations with his loved ones. He regularly played video games with his online group of friends, as well as with his children and grandchildren. David will be lovingly remembered by all his family, friends, and those whose lives he has touched over the past fifty-nine years.
Beside his beloved companion Melissa Mitchell, David leaves two daughters, Deanna Guindon and her partner, Billy, of Greenville, Rhode Island, and Rachel Piecuch and her husband, Chris, of South Gardiner, Maine; siblings, Bruce Guindon of Pawtucket and Robyn Guindon of Rumford; grandchildren, Baelan, Phoenix, Seabastion, Aemon, and Sherry to whom he was a loving Pepé; and many more loved ones.
David now joins his late sister-in-law, Jo-Ann Guindon, who, along with his brother Bruce, helped raise him after the passing of their mother. They are now together with his late nephew, Mark Guindon, who David and his surviving nephew, Bruce Guindon Jr., grew up with.
Relatives and friends are welcome to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, August 23rd, at 10 a.m. in St. Cecilia Church of St. John Paul II Parish, 755 Central Ave., Pawtucket. Flowers and calling hours are respectfully omitted.
