David E. Corbitt, Jr.

SEEKONK: David E. Corbitt, Jr., 62, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 6, 2026. Born in Providence, he was the beloved son of Phyllis (Madsen) Corbitt of Seekonk and the late David E. Corbitt, Sr.

David was a graduate of Fitchburg State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. A true "history buff," he enjoyed reading and research and was often regarded as the family historian. David began his career building homes alongside his father at David E. Corbitt Builders. He loved nature and animals and, in his later years, worked as a landscaper. David also enjoyed attending services at Memorial Baptist Church in Seekonk and spending time at the YMCA.

In addition to his mother, he leaves behind his brother, Timothy Corbitt (Tina) of South Kent, Connecticut; his nieces and nephews, Christian, Katie (Nick), Patrick, Michael, and Sarah; his grandniece, Sloane Gerardi; and his longtime devoted companion of more than thirty years, Kim Mallon.

The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Memorial Baptist Church, 340 Central Avenue, Seekonk, MA 02771.

A reception will be held at the church immediately following the Funeral Service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Memorial Baptist Church, 340 Central Avenue, Seekonk, MA 02771.
