David E. Chauvin

April 18, 1959 — August 9, 2017

Chauvin, 58, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 9, 2017.

He was the beloved husband of the late Maureen E. (Senecal) Chauvin.

Born in Central Falls, a son of the late Raymond A. and Doris S. (Morissette) Chauvin, he resided in Central Falls and Cumberland before moving to Cranston over thirty years ago.

Dave was a graduate of St.

Mathieu’s School, Central Falls and he attended Our Lady of Providence High School and was a 1977 graduate of St.

Raphael Academy, Pawtucket.

He enjoyed playing hockey at both Our Lady of Providence High School and St.

Dave honorably served in the U.S.

He was the co-proprietor with his late wife of the former Above & Beyond Cleaning Service, and was previously a manager at Century Drywall in Lincoln and a lead person at Hasbro, Pawtucket.

An avid Poker player, he enjoyed participating in local Pub Poker games and tournaments.

He leaves a brother, Raymond A.

Chauvin and his wife, Linda, of Seekonk; two sisters, Denise J.

Gruslin and her late husband, Dennis, of Pawtucket and Paula Salamone of New Jersey; several nieces and nephews and his beloved  feline friends, Pipsqueak and Toonces.

Visitation will begin Saturday, September 9th at 1 p.m. followed by Services at 3 p.m. at William W.

Tripp Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to the "David Chauvin Memorial Fund In Honor of Toonces & Pipsqueak" (https://www.youcaring.com/davidchauvin) fund established for the care and wellbeing of Pipsqueak and Toonces would be appreciated.

Guests are asked to wear casual and comfortable attire as David would have wanted.
