Poisson, 59, passed away on Monday, April 22, 2024.

Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, she was the daughter of the late Janet E. (Pierce) Poisson and Norman Saul Poisson.

Darlene resided in Pawtucket before moving to California over thirty-five years ago.

She received her master’s degree from the University of Rhode Island.

Darlene began her career at Providence College before becoming a student services specialist, assisting students with disabilities at Southwestern College, Chula Vista, California.

Not only did she find a wonderful niche at Southwestern College for thirty-five years, she also made many friends with those she worked with.

She was a wonderful friend and took you in as her own.

She leaves three brothers, Norman D.

Poisson of Myrtle Beach, SC, Kenneth G.

Poisson and his wife, Cheryl, of Pawtucket, RI and Alan J.

Poisson of Pawtucket, RI; a nephew, Nathan K.

Poisson and his wife, Lianne, of Hudson, NH; a niece, Nicole A.

Lessard and her husband, Chris, of Bradenton, FL; her uncle, George Poisson, her aunt, Blanche Almeida and several cousins.

She was the sister of the late Robert S.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her graveside service at Notre Dame Cemetery, 359 Daggett Ave., Pawtucket on Friday, May 31st at 10 a.m.

Visitation and flowers are respectfully omitted.
