Narragansett – Daisy A. (Nair) Joseph, 89, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2015. She was the beloved wife of the late Vararajan “Sam” S. A. Joseph. Born in Sri Lanka, she was a daughter of the late David and Mary Ponamah (Chinnapodyar) Nair. Daisy was an English and art teacher in Sri Lanka for thirty-five years before retiring in 1984. She came to the United States in 1985 and settled in Rumford, before moving to Wakefield in 1988 and then Narragansett several years ago. Daisy was a member of the YWCA and was a Girl Guides Leader in Sri Lanka. She leaves one daughter, Ingrid Yogaratnam of Narragansett; a brother, D. N. Thurairajah in Sri Lanka and three grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Lydia T. Mahalingam and D. N. Selvarajah. Services are private. Arrangements are with William W.
