Cristopher Levi Gibbs

Attleboro – Christopher Levi Gibbs, 63, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, July 11, 2025.

He was the beloved husband of Sharon (Gelotte) Gibbs since 2009.

Born in New Bern, North Carolina, he was a son of the late Herbert, Sr. and Letha (Jones) Gibbs.

Chris worked for many years as a certified nursing assistant at Norwood Hospital and more recently at Morton Hospital in Taunton, until his recent retirement.

He will be remembered by countless patients and co-workers for his compassionate, loving and gentle care of so many people over the many years.

Chris was an avid fan of the New England sports teams, especially the New England Patriots and the Boston Celtics, and he loved to watch the WNBA with his daughter, Aleigha.

He enjoyed caring for his home, working in his yard and tending to his pool.

Near and dear to Chris was spending time with those he loved, whether it was at a cookout or a pool party, special event or just a quiet evening at home, he loved being with family and dear friends.

Above all, Chris was a devoted and loving husband, father, stepdad, Papa and friend, who will be lovingly remembered by all whose lives he has touched over the past sixty-three years.

Besides his loving wife, Chris leaves his daughter, Aleigha Letha Helene Gibbs of Attleboro, a step-son, Justin Gelotte and his wife, Bri, of Danvers, MA; his father-in-law, David Gelotte of Seekonk and two beloved grandbabies, Emerson and Brooks Gelotte; siblings, Larry Gibbs and his wife, Elaine, Ervin Gibbs and his wife, Willie Mae, Dennis Hamilton and his wife, Veronica, Samuel Mufaro and his wife, Laura, Carolyn Burt, Jennifer Cannon and her husband, Bradley, Roman Gibbs and Herbert Biggs, Jr., many nieces and nephews, and his closest friend, Wayne Shepherd.

Relatives and friends are welcome to attend Service on Saturday, July 19th at 10 a.m. directly at Memorial Baptist Church, 340 Central Ave., Seekonk.

Interment will follow at Swan Point Cemetery in Providence.

VISITATION will be held on Friday, July 18th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at WILLIAM W.
