Joseph’s Day, March 19, 2023 at the nursing facility in Pawtucket, RI, after several health complications.

Robichaud for over forty years.

Robichaud; two loving sisters, Viviane Lejeune of Ledgewood, NJ and Anne and Alfred Brunelle of Fredericksburg, VA and many nieces and nephews, all whom she loved.
She was the sister of the late Rita Sherlock of Pawtucket, Pauline Barrette of Attleboro, Mariette Bruneau of South Attleboro, Helene Geoffroy of Pawtucket, Jean Joyal of Attleboro, Albert Joyal of Connecticut, & Armand Joyal of Vermont.
Colette was an active participant of St.
John the Baptist Parish in Pawtucket, where she sang in the choir.
She was also a member of the choir at St.
Cecilia’s Church of St.
John Paul II Parish, also in Pawtucket.
Colette worked as a Receptionist/Office assistant for many years at Paster & Harpootian Ltd, Cranston, RI before retiring in 2015.
She held various titles throughout her earlier years working in payroll for Hasbro Pawtucket, she worked for American Insulated Wire in Pawtucket as the vice president’s secretary and was also a receptionist for the Little Sister’s of the Poor in Pawtucket.
Colette was a loving homemaker, whose passion and strong faith was devoted to God.
She cared for her family, taking care of the home, cooking & baking and working in her yard.
She was a simple woman and in many ways “saintly” because of her sweet and calm presence. “Things” were not important in Colette’s life, but quality of life and people were what mattered most.
Colette used to say, “our job is not just to provide “things” as much as to instill values”.
Being Mémère (grandmother) to her grandson Luke Robichaud, was her most cherished role.
She adored listening to him sing “Country Roads'' and marveled at his early abilities.
She truly loved sharing as much time as she could with him.
Colette was a talented seamstress and knitter and loved making garments for many clergy, family and dear friends.
She grew up in a musical family and loved playing piano and singing with her family in the church choir.
She was always willing to lend a helping hand or just a listening ear to those she cherished.
Before her illness, Colette loved going for rides with her children, she loved to visit her daughter's horses, George and Heaven, and just sitting in the sun and watching them graze.
She was always ready for an adventure and loved going out on various day trips.
Colette was always great at making her theme baskets and donating them to various church functions or events.
She loved volunteering or baking goods for various events, or decorating both, her church every Christmas with beautiful bows all around, and at Little Sisters of the Poor where she was employed.
It was more about the giving of her time that mattered to her.
Spending time with the elderly, whether her family or friends, was something that was a high priority for Colette.
But overall She was a very content woman, living out her Christian beliefs and taking the time to feel life!
Colette will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by all whose lives she has touched over the past seventy-eight years.
Normand gained the love of his life back.
Colette’s funeral will be held on Saturday at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W.
