Attleboro – Clifford A.

Read, 90, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Friday, September 1, 2017.

He was the beloved husband of the late Lorraine M. (Leonard) Read.

Born in Central Falls, he was the son of the late William A. and Edna H. (Bryans) Read.

Cliff resided in Providence most of his life before moving to Plainville for fifteen years and then Attleboro over six years ago.

He was a Korean War U.

Cliff was employed by the Foxboro Company for fifteen years until retiring in 1990, and was previously employed at the Lebanon Knitting Mills, Pawtucket.

But his favorite job was being a crossing guard for St.

Mary’s Sacred Heart School, North Attleboro for ten years until age 82.

He was an avid New England Patriots fan; New York Yankees fan; bowler and cribbage player.

But most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He leaves four children, Lori A.

Sigley and her husband, John, of Ocala, FL, Lisa M.

Dolbashian and her husband, Paul, of Smithfield, Clifford J.

Read of Cranston and Lynn M.

Robinson and her husband, Patrick, of Attleboro and six grandchildren.

He also leaves his best friend of 82 years, who was like a brother, Tom Turner of La Quinta, California.

Services will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.

Interment with Military Honors will follow at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.

VISITATION will be Friday 4 to 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 205 Hallene Road, Suite 209, Warwick, RI 02886 or St.

Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St.

Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
