Seekonk, MA - Claudette Bella (Dery) Lockwood, 84, passed away on Friday, December 12, 2025, at Attleboro Life Care Center surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted wife of the late Anthony “Tony” R. Lockwood. Born in Central Falls, she was a daughter of the late Roland E. and Lucienne “Lucy” (Depot) Dery.
Claudette worked as a bank teller and was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and second mother to many. Active in various Seekonk organizations, Claudette was a former parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish where she taught CCD for many years and later a parishioner of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Parish. She also served on the Tenants Association for Seekonk Commons and as a school crossing guard.
She leaves behind her beloved children, Mark A. Lockwood (Susan) of Seekonk, MA, Colleen F. Young (Robert) of Rehoboth, MA, Christine A. Lebeau (Scott) of Burrillville, RI, Cathleen A. Cartwright of Seekonk, MA, and Angela “Angie” M. Ross (Michael) of Charlton, MA, ten grandchildren, Kelly, Stephanie, Michael, Amanda, Sarah, Matthew, Kate, Meredith, Bailey, and Shannon, thirteen great-grandchildren, her siblings, Elaine Beaudoin, Diane LuChild, and Celeste Dery-Corriveau, and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Melanie.
Claudette was the most unselfish, nonjudgmental person. She was beyond generous with her love, time, kindness and support to her friends, her community, her relatives, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Always the glue that kept a large family together.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Parish, Coyle Drive, Seekonk, MA. VISITATION will be held prior to the Mass from 9 a.m to 10:15 a.m at WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to: Doorways Food Pantry, 2 North Street P. O. Box 295 Seekonk, MA 02771 or a random act of kindness in Claudette’s memory, would be appreciated.
