Claudette R. Freeman

Pawtucket – Claudette R. (Pontbriand) Freeman, 67, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 20, 2014. She was the beloved wife of Joseph F. Freeman, Jr., the couple would have celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary on May 9, 2014. Born in Ayer, Massachusetts, a daughter of the late Raoul “Ralph” and Germaine (Aubuchon) Pontbriand, she resided in Shirley, Massachusetts before moving to Pawtucket in 1970. Claudette had been a cosmetologist and hairdresser in Hyannis and Shirley, Massachusetts many years ago. Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Patrick J. Freeman and his wife, Michelle of New Milford, CT; two grandsons, Nolan and Logan Freeman; three sisters, Pauline Moras in California, Mary Jane Maxfield of Fitchburg, MA and Sylvia Cote of Acton, MA and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Paul Pontbriand. Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
