Charlestown – Clarisse “Claire” J. (Lafreniere) Noury, 77, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 6, 2016.
She was the beloved wife of Ernest A.
Noury for forty-eight years.
Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Theodore and Rena (Deslauriers) Lafreniere, she resided in Central Falls for most of her life before moving to Charlestown in October of 2013.
Claire was a manager in the Women’s Apparel Department at K-Mart, South Attleboro until retiring and was previously employed by Texas Instruments and the Bruce Diamond Corporation.
Besides her husband, she leaves two daughters, Lynne A.
Womack and her husband, Donald, of Priceville, Alabama and Dawn M.
Sokolosky and her husband, Roger, of East Greenwich; a son, Keith E.
Noury and his wife, Nancy, of Tomball, Texas; four sisters, Dolores Leconey of New Jersey, Elaine Hoffert of Maryland, Ann Nason of Barrington and Diane Maymon of Pawtucket; a brother, Arthur Lafreniere of Pawtucket; seven grandchildren, Kerri, Thomas and Jeffrey McCallum, Kaela and McKenzie Byrne and Faith and Cole Noury and many nieces and nephews.
VISITATION will be held Friday, October 21st from 4 to 7 p.m. with a Service at 5 p.m. at WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
Interment at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 would be appreciated.
