Clarence "Earl" Hunter

Cranston – Clarence “Earl” Hunter, 92 of Cranston, formerly of Pawtucket, went to his eternal rest surrounded by his loving family on Monday, March 20, 2017. He was the beloved husband of the late Lorraine (Poulin) Hunter. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Robert L. and Esther (Metcalf) Hunter. Earl retired in 1992 from the American Universal Insurance Company of Providence, he was previously employed by Rowe Vending Company and Owens Corning Fiberglass.  Earl and his wife enjoyed traveling; ballroom dancing and playing cards with family and friends. He was an avid baseball fan and will be lovingly remembered as a kind and gentle man. He leaves his daughter, Cheryl Nelson and her husband, Dennis, of Cranston with whom he resided. Earl was the proud grandfather of Brad Nelson of Cranston, Brian Nelson of Boston and Kristen (Nelson) Fessler and her husband, Matthew, of Wrentham, MA, and the cherished great-grandfather of Avery Fessler.
