Clare E. Bessette

Pawtucket – Clare E. (Roberge) Bessette, 95, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 4, 2015.She was the beloved wife of the late Henry L. Bessette. Born in Central Falls, she was a daughter of the late William & Clara (St. George) Roberge. Clare graduated from Pawtucket High School (Tolman H.S.) in 1938 and then worked at Shartenberg’s Department Store for 16 years. She later was the accounts receivable clerk for Frank Desmarais Paper Supply Co. for 13 years until her retirement. Both Clare and her late husband were longtime members of LeFoyer Club, Pawtucket. Clare also served as a treasurer of the Jacques Cartier Society for many years. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered. Clare leaves a daughter, Pauline M. Dailey and a foster daughter, Susan M. Hart both of Pawtucket; three grandchildren, Tara Bourassa and her husband, Corey, Sr., Jennifer Hart and her fiancé, Keith Landry, Sr. all of Cumberland and Lindsay Hart...
