Cumberland – Claire M. (Gingras) Haupt, 89, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 5, 2024.
She was the beloved wife of Milton F.
Haupt for forty-nine loving years.
Born in Attleboro, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Donat and Louise A. (Dumas) Gingras.
Claire had resided in Pawtucket before moving to Cumberland in 1974.
She was employed by the former Ann & Hope, Cumberland and JC Penney, North Attleboro until retiring.
Besides her husband, she leaves seven children, Jacqueline (Richard) Petit, Denis (Robin) Laferriere, David (Lisa Iannelli) Laferriere, Denise (James Towner) Poirier, Keith (Mary) Haupt, Kevin (Denise) Haupt, and Lisa (Richard Belford) Haupt; a sister, Rita Barrett and her husband, Armand; a brother, Richard Gingras and his wife, Linda; nineteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson and many nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Paul J.
Laferriere, Michael W.
Laferriere, Kenneth Haupt and Deborah Belanger and the sister of the late Olivette Smith, Albert Gingras, Bernadette Duphaily, Loretta Chamberlain, Annette Gingras, Cecile Boulais, Helen Berthelette, Roger Gingras, Ida Brunelle, Irene Larocque, Juliette Girard and Florence Scotti.
Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St.
Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland.
VISITATION will be on Monday, March 11, 2024 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m.
