Cumberland – Claire M. (Gingras) Haupt, 89, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 5, 2024. She was the beloved wife of Milton F. Haupt for forty-nine loving years. Born in Attleboro, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Donat and Louise A. (Dumas) Gingras. Claire had resided in Pawtucket before moving to Cumberland in 1974. She was employed by the former Ann & Hope, Cumberland and JC Penney, North Attleboro until retiring. Besides her husband, she leaves seven children, Jacqueline (Richard) Petit, Denis (Robin) Laferriere, David (Lisa Iannelli) Laferriere, Denise (James Towner) Poirier, Keith (Mary) Haupt, Kevin (Denise) Haupt, and Lisa (Richard Belford) Haupt; a sister, Rita Barrett and her husband, Armand; a brother, Richard Gingras and his wife, Linda; nineteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson and many nieces and nephews.
