Christine Mecroules

East Providence – Christine Mecroules, 88, formerly of Springfield, MA and Forest Hills, NY, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 13, 2015. Born in Springfield, MA, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Annie (Pappafelepopoulos) Mecroules. Christine worked as a legal secretary for the Rogers & Wells Law Firm in New York City. In her younger days, she had been a model for various agencies and even appeared in many advertisements. Christine leaves a sister, Mary Fetekake of Pawtucket; a niece, Athena Fleming Dyer of Coventry; a nephew, William Mecroules, Jr. of Springfield, MA and Texas and a grand-nephew, Christopher Fleming of Coventry. She was the sister of the late James Mecroules, William Mecroules, Sr. and Claire Brogren. Services will be held Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. in Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, 97 Walcott St., Pawtucket. Interment at Walnut Hill Cemetery will be private. Visitation and flowers are respectfully omitted. Memorial gifts to the church will be appreciated....
