Hands, 71, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 17, 2024.

She was the beloved wife of the late George T.

Born in Norwood, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Minerva (Kelly) Lussier.

Christine graduated from Rhode Island College where she earned a Master of Education degree.

She taught Special Education to students throughout the Pawtucket School District for many years.

Christine was a longtime member of Darlington Congregational Church, Pawtucket, and was deeply rooted in her faith.

She was involved in the community and volunteered at local soup kitchen’s and did missionary work to spread the word of God.

Christine enjoyed doing puzzles, gardening, watching the birds and doing crafts.

She is survived by two sons, Earl D.

Martinez and his fiancée, Nicole Silva, of Pawtucket and Joseph M.

Martinez of Colorado; seven grandchildren, Drake, Abbie, Minerva, Lucian, Audrey, Austin and Grace; a brother, Richard Lussier of North Providence and several nieces and nephews.

She was the mother of the late Douglas A.

Martinez, grandmother of the late Phoenix Martinez and sister of the late Thomas, George, Andy and Raymond Lussier.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday, May 4th, beginning with visitation at 9:30 a.m. and concluding with Services at 11:00 a.m. in WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.

Interment with her late husband in Steven’s Corner Cemetery, Rehoboth, will be private.
