Chester "Chet" A. Karbowski

Pawtucket - Chester “Chet” A. Karbowski, 99, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 23, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Rita B. (Brown) Karbowski. Born in Central Falls, he was the son of the late John and Anna (Zajac) Karbowski. A U.S. Navy WWII veteran, Chet proudly served his country overseas aboard the USS Kalmia and the USS Alsea. He was a faithful communicant of St. Teresa Church, Pawtucket, for nearly seventy years. Chet worked as a press operator for Texas Instruments for over twenty years prior to retiring in 1985. He was an avid New England sports fan, especially the Pawtucket and Boston Red Sox. He was a sharp card player, and a great bowler. Chet showed great pride in the accomplishments of his children and his eyes shined brightest in the presence of his “8 chickies”, and later, his great-grandchildren.
