Pawtucket - Chester “Chet” A.
Karbowski, 99, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 23, 2021 surrounded by his loving family.
He was the beloved husband of the late Rita B. (Brown) Karbowski.
Born in Central Falls, he was the son of the late John and Anna (Zajac) Karbowski.
Navy WWII veteran, Chet proudly served his country overseas aboard the USS Kalmia and the USS Alsea.
He was a faithful communicant of St.
Teresa Church, Pawtucket, for nearly seventy years.
Chet worked as a press operator for Texas Instruments for over twenty years prior to retiring in 1985.
He was an avid New England sports fan, especially the Pawtucket and Boston Red Sox.
He was a sharp card player, and a great bowler.
Chet showed great pride in the accomplishments of his children and his eyes shined brightest in the presence of his “8 chickies”, and later, his great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his four loving children, Patricia K.
Snee and her husband, Gerry, of Rehoboth, MA, John E.
Karbowski and his wife, Susan, of Raynham, MA, Cheryl K.
Cusick and her husband, Philip, of South Dartmouth, MA and Edward J.
Karbowski and his wife, Lori, of Seekonk, MA; eight granddaughters and eight great-grandchildren.
He was the brother of the late Walter, Milton and Eric Karbowski and Josephine Oszajca.
Relatives and friends are welcome to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in St.
Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
Interment with Military Honors will follow in Mount St.
Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket.
Visitation and floral tributes are respectfully omitted.
