Cheryl A. Stanley

Providence – Cheryl A. (Metcalf) Stanley, 63, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Friday, November 18, 2022. She was the beloved wife of Elmer Stanley for forty loving years. Born in Winchester, Massachusetts, she was a daughter of Blair and Joan (Kelley) Metcalf who currently reside in New Hampshire. Cheryl worked for many years as the manager of local group homes and worked with developmentally disabled people through the Blackstone Valley ARC. She was a member of St. Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church in Pawtucket, and Cheryl enjoyed cooking, sewing, crafting, gardening, and tending to her aquarium. In her younger days, Cheryl enjoyed making blankets that she would share with her family and creating costumes for her children’s school events and performances. Above all, Cheryl was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and dear friend, who will be lovingly remembered by all whose lives she has touched over the past sixty-three years.
