Charlotte "Ma" J. Parfitt

Barrington – Charlotte “Ma” J. (Couchie) Parfitt, 69, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2012. She was the beloved wife of Richard Parfitt, Jr. for forty-eight years. She was a daughter of the late James and Margaret (Mathews) Couchie. Charlotte resided in Pawtucket until moving to East Providence in 1956 where she graduated in 1960 from East Providence High School. She also resided in Enfield, CT for five years before moving to Barrington in 1969. Charlotte was a forty year member of the S & B Club of the Vera Plat area of Barrington. Besides her husband, she leaves her son, Richard A. Parfitt and his wife, Carolyn of Riverside and two grandsons, Kyle Parfitt and Kevin McMahon-Reed. She was the sister of the late Pauline Johnson. Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. Interment will follow at Swan Point Cemetery, Providence.
