Charles H. Wild

Cumberland – Charles “Chick” H. Wild, 77, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 30, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Priscilla A. (Rowse) Wild for fifty-five years. Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Frank D. and Lucy (Moors) Wild, he resided in Cumberland for the past forty-six years. Chick served in the U.S. Army. He was employed by the Providence Journal for thirty years before retiring as a bookkeeper. Chick was a member of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Cumberland and had served on the Vestry at the former St. Martin’s Episcopal Church, Pawtucket. He loved playing Cribbage and was an avid sports fan, he especially enjoyed watching the Red Sox, Patriots and Bruins. He was a former volunteer for Meals On Wheels and enjoyed traveling, especially to Aruba. But most of all, he was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Mark C.
