Martel, Sr., 78, passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2017.

A lifelong resident of Pawtucket he was a son of the late Phillip, Sr. and Margaret (Powers) Martel.

Charles was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War and worked in building maintenance for the City of Pawtucket until his retirement several years ago.

He was an avid New York Yankees fan and a devoted and loving father and grandfather and was loved by all who met him.

Charles leaves six children, Melissa Martel and Brenda Bryant both of Pawtucket, Heidi Abatiello, Charles Martel, Jr. and Jeanne Albuquerque all of Hudson, FL and Vicki Cilento of Cape Coral, FL; a sister, Rita Adams of Pawtucket and many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Charles also leaves many dear nieces and nephews.

He was the father of the late Sean Martel and the brother of the late James Powers, Shirley Elefsiades, Margaret Heroux and Phillip Martel, Jr.

VISITATION will begin on Friday at 3 p.m. followed by Services at 6 p.m. at WILLIAM W.
