Charles Scott, Jr.

Seekonk – Charles “Sonny” Scott, Jr., 83, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2017. He was the beloved husband of Beverly A. (Litterer) Scott for 61 years. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Charles, Sr., and Alice M. (Hayes) Scott. Sonny was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran of the Korean War. He later worked as an electrical engineer, and also served on the Seekonk Board of Health for many years until his retirement. Together with his wife, they enjoyed going on cruises and spending time on Cape Cod. Above all, Sonny was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. Besides his loving wife, he leaves five children, Charles Scott, III and his wife, Lori of Seekonk, Michael E. Scott, of Foster, Kimberly A. Scott, of Sunderland, MA, Steven R. Scott and his wife, Debra, of Seekonk and Cory J. Scott and his wife, Kerri-Lynn, of Seekonk; eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Marilyn Slowik.
