Charles G. Agaty

Pawtucket – Charles G. Agaty, 82, passed away Friday, February 27, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Elaine H. (Abdelahad) Agaty for 33 years. A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Anthony and Mary (Moussab) Agaty. Charlie was a Korean War U.S. Air Force veteran. He was the proprietor of the former Agaty’s Market for over forty years before retiring in 1995. Charlie was a member of St. Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church where he served as a chanter and was a member of the choir; Parish Council and the Order of St. Ignatius. He was a member of E. L. Freeman Lodge No. 41 and Overseas Lodge No. 40. Besides his wife, he leaves a sister, Elaine B. Swistak and her late husband, John of Pawtucket and many nieces and nephews. He was the son-in-law of Nora and the late Charles Abdelahad of Pawtucket and the brother-in-law of Sandra and George Matook of Johnston and Rev. Fr. Michael and Selma Abdelahad of Shrewsbury, MA.
