Catherine "Rena" F. Clarkson

Pawtucket – Catherine “Rena” F. (Gookin) Clarkson, 95, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 6, 2023.

She was the beloved wife of the late George T.

A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late John J. and Catherine C. (Devlin) Gookin.

Rena was a loving mother, grandmother, and homemaker, who enjoyed baking, loved animals and above all, caring for her family.

She was also very proud of her Irish Catholic Heritage and was a lifelong parishioner of St.

Teresa Church in Pawtucket.

Rena was very involved in the parish and was a member of the St.

Rena will be lovingly remembered by all whose lives she has touched over the past ninety-five years.

She leaves two children, John T.

Clarkson and his wife, Roberta, of Rehoboth, and Karen E.

Clarkson of Rumford; two grandchildren, Colin Clarkson and his wife, Allison, of Pawtucket, and Janelle Clarkson of Walpole, MA; a sister, Rosemary Powers of Pawtucket and several nieces and nephews.

She was the sister-in-law of the late Thomas Powers.

VISITATION will be held on Thursday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St.

Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.

Interment in the family plot at Mount Saint Mary Cemetery will follow.
