Catherine Bacon

Seekonk – Catherine Bacon, 85, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 25, 2026. She was the beloved widow of John “Butch” F. Bacon, whose love she cherished deeply from the time of his passing until her final day. She was the daughter of the late John and Abigail V. (Rogers) Barlow.

Catherine's passion for baking and cake decorating grew into a successful business career. As the owner of Cathy's Catering and Cathy's Cakes, she shared her talents and creativity with countless people throughout the community. Known for feeding large crowds, she generously donated food for numerous civic events and political rallies. Her tenacious spirit contributed to her success in business, but her greatest accomplishments were her devotion to her family and the love she shared with those around her.

Catherine leaves behind her children: Catherine A. Lizotte and her husband, Bill, of Seekonk; John T. Carr of Pawtucket; Tammy R. Gomez of East Greenwich; and Christopher A. Bacon of Pawtucket. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her children, Deborah Testa, Theresa Paradis, Dorothy Conley, and Joseph Carr.

Cathy’s family will be forever grateful for her long-time caregiver Darlene, the staff of Continuum, and the kindness of all the staff at HopeHealth Hospice.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 30, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket.
