Carolyn M. Hornig

South Attleboro - Carolyn M. (McCormick) Hornig, 80, passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2023. She was the wife of the late John P. Hornig, Sr.  Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Frederick B., Sr. and Florence M. (Harris) McCormick. Carolyn resided in Lincoln for the past three years, she previously resided in South Attleboro for many years. A lifelong caregiver, Carolyn was a graduate of the Pondville Hospital School of Nursing. She had been employed at the former Memorial Hospital of RI, Pawtucket, Kent Hospital, Warwick and the former Neighborhood Convalescent Home, Pawtucket. While residing in Florida, she was a dialysis nurse and homecare nurse. Carolyn was a nurse for forty-five years before retiring in 2006. Carolyn was admired for her selflessness and always making others feel welcome. She made a difference in many lives and will be remembered as truly being generous, kind, caring, understanding and compassionate.
