Carole Ann (Germano) Haberle, 80, of Pawtucket and Lady Lake, FL, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 3, 2019 in Florida surrounded by her husband and children.
Carole is survived by her loving and dedicated husband of almost 60 years, John.
The love and marriage of Carole and John is an inspiration and the life they lived together was one of joy, adventure and beautiful companionship.
Carole’s legacy will live on through her children and their spouses, Charles (Susan) of North Kingstown, Glenn (Michele) of Smithfield and Christine (Thomas) Colella of New Jersey, as well as through her adored grandchildren, Brianna, Justin, Abigail, Jenna, Kyle, Reid, Katelyn and Ryan.
Carole also is survived by her dear sisters, Joan (Dean) Mason of Salem, NH and Dorothy Germano of Cumberland and sister-in-law, Kathy (James) Gibson of Ocala, FL and brother-in-law, Larry Haberle of Bradenton, FL.
She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Yvette (Chicoine) Germano.
Carole was born at home on Toledo Avenue during a snowstorm.
She spoke fondly of her memories growing up in such a loving home with her parents and sisters.
Carole and John enjoyed traveling, twice cross country in their motorhome, countless cruises, a recent trip to her family’s homeland in Portugal, boating across Narragansett Bay, shopping for birthday and Christmas gifts, browsing craft shows and most important to her, cheering on her grandchildren at hundreds of sporting events all across the East Coast.
She loved being a snowbird, splitting her time between sunny Florida and her native Rhode Island.
Prior to retiring 21 years ago (same day as John), Carole was a Clerk for the Pawtucket Parks and Recreation Department and a dedicated homemaker and policeman’s wife, raising the children while John was protecting the city.
VISITATION will be on Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m. at WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
Her funeral will be on Friday at 8 a.m. from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St.
Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
Interment will follow at Mount Saint Mary Cemetery.

Since 2004, Carole was a survivor of many complex heart-related issues.
Because of the outstanding care of health care professionals and the technology and medicines available to her, her quality of life these past 15 years has been outstanding, and she continued to live life to the fullest every day and season.
All acts of kindness would reflect Carole and her generosity and thoughtfulness toward others.
