Carol Marie Ray

Providence – Carol M. Ray, 80, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 14, 2019. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Wilson and Laura (O’Connell) Ray. A graduate of the University of Rhode Island, Carol worked for the Providence school system for forty-five years, most recently as a librarian at Central High School. She was an avid reader and adored her cats. She is survived by three cousins, Robert F. O’Connell of Mashpee, Massachusetts, Sister Lois O’Connell, FCJ of Fall River, Massachusetts and Frank O’Connell of South Attleboro, Massachusetts. Visitation will be held on Monday beginning at 4:00 p.m. followed by Services at 6:00 p.m. in William W. Tripp Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
