Carol Ann O'Brien

July 21, 1939 — February 25, 2025

Pawtucket - Carol Ann (Senecal) O'Brien, 85, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, peacefully passed away at home on Tuesday, February 25, 2025.

Born in Leominster, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Edward J. and Pearl (Guinard) Senecal.

Carol had resided in South Attleboro for seventy years before moving to Pawtucket twelve years ago.

She was deeply devoted to her family, who were the center of her life.

Carol was preceded in death by her former husband, Edward J.

O'Brien, Jr., and her brothers, Richard Senecal, Norman Senecal, and Edward "Butch" Senecal.

A dedicated Lead Machine Operator, Carol was employed at Hasbro in Central Falls, RI, for over twenty-five years until retiring.

Carol was known for her passionate dedication to her children and grandchildren, always putting family first.

She had a deep love for ballroom dancing and knitting blankets, filling her home with warmth and creativity.

A nurturing spirit, Carol extended her kindness to the neighborhood children, often welcoming them with her famous homemade cookies and a comforting pot of soup simmering on the stove.

She is survived by her loving children: Edward J.

O'Brien of Cumberland, Deborah A.

O'Brien of Pawtucket, Theresa Marie Greve of Attleboro, Thomas M.

O'Brien of Edgartown, Martha's Vineyard, Catherine P.

McCra and her husband, Michael, of Coventry, Daniel J.

O'Brien of Pawtucket and Scott A.

O'Brien of New Durham, NH.

Carol was a proud grandmother to Seneca Widvey and his wife, Kelly, and their children, Ryker and Piper, Sarah Angelovsky and her husband, Stefan, and their daughter, Anya, Meaghan Greve, Erik Kelly, Michael O'Brien, Jack O'Brien, Craig McCra and his wife, Kristen, Kyle McCra and his wife, Danielle, and their children, Rose and Dylan, Amber O'Brien, Christine Heaney and her husband, Matt, and their son, Zander.

Her family also includes many beloved nieces and nephews.

Services will be private.

Visitation and flowers are respectfully omitted.
