Carlton G. Rutter

Carlton George Rutter, 93, of Seekonk, MA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 8, 2024.   He was the devoted husband of his late wife, Joan L. Rutter, with whom he shared an extraordinary 70 years of marriage. Born in Fall River, MA, Carlton was the son of the late George H. Rutter and Margret Corbishley Rutter. A proud graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, Class of 1949, Carlton was a standout football player whose talent earned him induction into the Durfee Hall of Fame. A true patriot, Carlton served his country with honor as a Korean War veteran, spending time on the front lines and earning recognition for his service. After his military service, Carlton pursued higher education, earning his engineering degree from Roger Williams College. His career spanned notable companies, including Texas Instruments and Polaroid Corporation, where his expertise and dedication left an indelible mark.
