Sandstrom, 70, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2020.
He was the loving husband of Hilda S. (Valente) Sandstrom for twenty-three years.
Born in Paterson, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Leo and Amelia (Rossi) Sandstrom.
Carlo worked as a truck driver for several different companies throughout New England and in the Netherlands.
An avid Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Yankees fan, Carlo enjoyed collecting coins, watches and attending classic car shows.
He will be remembered for his love of family and coffees with espresso.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three children, Heidi Schrama and her husband, Dolf, Tina Steennhuijen and her husband, Remco, and Leo Sandstrom and his wife, Chantal, all of Holland; six grandchildren Maikel, Quincy, Kevin, Dyleno, Lichelle and Dean; three sisters, Rita Verrone and her husband, Tony, Anna Mannion and her husband, Jim, both of New Jersey and Marie Valente and her husband, Carlos, of Pennsylvania and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Jerry Sandstrom.
Visitation will be held on Saturday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123 or the American Diabetes Association, 260 Cochituate Rd., #200, Framingham, MA 01701 would be appreciated.
