Brian M. Devlin

November 1, 1952 — October 1, 2023

Devlin, 70, passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2023.

Brian was born in Northampton, Massachusetts on November 1, 1952, a son of the late Louis S. and Mary A. (Stenson) Devlin.

Brian attended the former St.

Michael's School in Northampton and graduated in 1969.

He then went on to attend UMass Amherst and received a degree in Hotel Restaurant and Travel Administration (HRTA).

Brian worked at a number of restaurants in and around Northampton throughout the years until he became a travel agent with Tripp Explorer which was also in Northampton.

During this time, he travelled extensively all over the world for both work and pleasure.

Brian then moved on to become a travel agent for American Express Corporate Travel where he spent the remainder of his work life booking business travel for companies in the greater Boston area.

Brian was a lifelong fan of all Boston sports teams, especially the Boston Red Sox.

As a kid he would try so hard to watch the Red Sox on Channel 4 in Boston but all you could see was snow.

It didn't matter though, he could hear it, and every time a Red Sox player got a hit, he'd run around the living room using the furniture as bases.

In 2004 when the Red Sox finally broke the curse of the Bambino and won their first World Series in 86 years, Brian got his one and only tattoo to celebrate and commemorate a dream come true.

Brian, himself was an avid basketball player.

He played throughout his school years and into his adult life.

Some of his proudest moments were coaching the basketball teams of his sons during their middle school years.

Brian leaves two sons, Sean Devlin of Attleboro, and Kyle Devlin of Jamestown; his former wife, Laurie A.

Devlin of Jamestown and siblings, Sean Devlin of both Northampton, MA and Venice, FL, Christopher Devlin of Sunapee, NH, and Missy Devlin of Pikesville, MD.

Relatives and friends are welcome to attend VISITATION on Saturday, October 7th from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at WILLIAM W.
