Torti, 33 and his wife, Cherilyn A. (Acquaviva) Torti, 38, passed away tragically on Sunday June 14, 2015.
They leave five children, Tyler, Noah, Emmy, Grace and Jaxon Torti all at home.
The family had resided in Warwick before moving to Coventry two years ago.
Brad was born in Providence, a son of Joseph F. and Sandra J. (Perri) Torti of Johnston.
He was a manager at Electric Boat, Quonset, and a Basketball and Baseball coach for the Coventry School District.
Brad was an avid motorcyclist, and a true family man who adored and doted upon his wife and children.
Cherilyn was born in Pawtucket, the daughter of Linda D. (Catteau) and Greg S.
Kanarian of Pawtucket and Joseph M.
Acquaviva of California.
She was a 2007 graduate of the Community College of Rhode Island’s Nursing Program and had worked in the operating room at the VA Hospital, Providence prior to devoting her life to the care of her husband and their five children.
Brad and Cherilyn were active in the community having gathered collections for the Bristol Good Neighbor’s Soup Kitchen and organized fundraisers to raise awareness for the children with Apraxia.
Besides their children and parents, Brad leaves two brothers, Michael Torti and Joseph Torti; a sister, Erica Torti and her fiancé, Nile Arrighi; his paternal grandmother, Mae B.
Torti and his maternal grandfather Mario Perri all of Johnston.
He was the grandson of the late Anthony Torti and Anna Perri.
Cherilyn leaves her paternal grandparents, Joseph and Edna Acquaviva of North Providence.
She was the granddaughter of the late Albert and Joan Catteau.
Their funeral will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. from WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in The Church of Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 1081 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence.
VISITATION will be Friday 5 to 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to the Childhood Apraxia of Speech Association of North America, 416 Lincoln Avenue, 2nd floor, Pittsburgh, PA 15209 would be appreciated.
