Blanche D. Ferguson

Pawtucket – Blanche D. (Jette) Ferguson, 91, formerly of Rumford, passed away peacefully at the Jeanne Jugan Residence in Pawtucket, on Wednesday, January 12, 2022.

She was the beloved wife of the late Gavin B.

Ferguson, who passed away in June of 2013.

Born in Central Falls, she was a daughter of the late George O. and Diana (Fournier) Jette.

Blanche worked for the Wishing Well in Seekonk for many years and retired from the Pawtucket Boys & Girls Club in 1996 and was a member of the Chemawa Golf Course in Attleboro for over twenty-five years.

Golf was a passion that Blanche shared with her husband, Gavin for many years.

In her youth, Blanche enjoyed playing racquetball, bowling, and dancing with her late husband.

She also possessed a very quick wit and great sense of humor.

Blanche will be lovingly remembered by all whose lives she has touched over the past ninety-one years.

She leaves two sons, Gary R.

Ferguson and his wife, Donna, of Seekonk, and Glenn C.

Ferguson and his wife, Celeste, of Wakefield; three daughters, Gale J.

Ferguson of Pawtucket, Diana M.

Todd of Junction City, KS, and Denise K.

Turek and her husband, James, of Hope Valley; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Merrill Jette, Gerald Jette, George Jette and Jeanne Jette.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in St.

Margaret’s Church, 1098 Pawtucket Avenue, Rumford.

Interment with her late husband will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery.

Visitation and floral tributes are respectfully omitted.

Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
