Betty E. L. Taylor

L. (Harris) Taylor, 88, of Dennisport, MA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 24, 2014.

She was the beloved wife of the late Ernest “Bill” W.

Betty met her husband in England during World War II, after the war she settled in Pawtucket and the couple married in 1946.

Born in Birmingham, England, she was the daughter of the late George R. and Gertrude (Cooper) Harris.

Betty resided in Pawtucket until moving to Rumford in 2001, she has resided in Dennisport for the past five years.

She was a former member of Epworth United Methodist Church, Pawtucket and a member of the former Overseas Wives Club at the YMCA, Central Falls.

Betty leaves her daughter, Karen E.

Lawrence of Dennisport and her grandson, Jonathan T.

Fontaine of Pawtucket.

She was the sister of the late George R. and Bernard J.

VISITATION will begin Tuesday at 10 a.m. followed by Services at 11 a.m. at WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.

Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
