Belmira Collette

Pawtucket – Belmira “Bella” (Bento) Collette, 98, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Sunday, January 5, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Collette who passed away in 2010. A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Manuel and Blanche (Rodrick) Bento.  Bella worked for many years at Healthtex and was a longtime parishioner at St. John Paul II Parish in Pawtucket (formerly St. Leo the Great Church). She was an active member of the Spirited Seniors at the parish, and she enjoyed square dancing with her late husband. Bella also was a talented knitter and seamstress and enjoyed creating beautiful afghan blankets. Bella leaves three children, Debra Sulima and her husband, Michael, of Pawtucket, Edward Laperle and his wife, Deborah in Colorado and Mary Ann Norberg and her husband, Scott in West Virginia; six grandchildren including the late Krisann Johnson and she was the sister of the late Hilda Gilligan and Lydia Yukanis.
